s children we often imagine we are fairies, mermaids, princesses, et al, but images we see in the media are unrealistically thinner than the average feminine figure.  "SugarPlumps" reflect the average female size 14 figure, they are designed to show "…sexy doesn't always equal skinny, and fat does not necessarily mean unattractive…" -Marie Claire Magazine, April 2004.

"Sugarplumps" are whimsical beautifully crafted art dolls with a fantasy theme.  It is a collection of soft-sculpture figures are approximately 6" tall.  They have a large variety of poses and display possibilities.  Whether hanging, standing or in repose, every piece has movement.  In sculpting the bodies and faces, distinct personalities emerge.  Although some are produced in editions larger than one, each is a one-of-a-kind work of art.
I use a large variety of materials, both vintage and new, combining sewing, beading, wirework and scrapbooking techniques.  Each piece has a signed and dated certificate of authenticity.

All of these creations are pleasingly plump.
